Planet Earth is our home and to be blunt we are not looking after it very well. Above is the countdown to COP 29 the global climate conference, but there is an even bigger countdown we need to aim for and that is net zero. Reaching net zero means we can stop the catastrophic effects of climate change like the dramatic fires and biblical floods we see more and more on TV.
We still have time to reverse the damage and to save this wonderful planet we call home, lets use the time before it’s too late.
Its easy to think you can't make a difference, but you would be wrong! We can all make a difference. Many young people are leading the way in highlighting the changes that need to be made and are working on projects to help protect our planet not just for themselves but for future generations. Look at the following the young Greta Thunberg was able to gather around the globe. Individualy and collectively we can all play our part. What can you do to help?
Find out what you can do to save energy and resources. Little things can make a big difference. Can you walk or cycle instead of going in the car? Can you be quick in the shower to save water? Can you buy local fruit and vegetables without packaging and to help cut down fuel for transport? Can you switch off your phone and computer when you are not using them? Can you plant a tree in the corner of your garden to capture carbon? Use your voice, talk to people about why they should also do things to save our planet. If we all did this WOW! What a difference we would make.
